I am honored to serve on the Newington Board of Education. As a board member and chair of the finance and facilities committees, I have consistently worked with members from both parties and focused on what is best for our students. I make sure that every tax dollar is invested wisely so they can succeed in today's competitive global economy.

I have held our school district administration accountable and made sure they are accessible to all town residents if there is a concern. If town residents trust me to serve another term, I plan to ensure our students and staff are well supported, expand access to our district's high-quality and affordable pre-K program, and promote an inclusive curriculum that reflects and respects diversity.

I love Newington. I have been a resident for over twenty-four years. Both of my kids are proud graduates of our school system, and I am married to a fellow educator—an upper school science teacher—while my daughter is now an English teacher. I hold a bachelor's degree in business management from UCONN, School of Business, and a graduate degree in Education Policy from Harvard University.

Currently, I am a high school business education teacher at an underserved school district (Title I) and continue to serve as Area Chair in Connecticut for Harvard College, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Additionally, I have worked as a substitute teacher in school districts in the Hartford region and understand firsthand the many challenges our educators, support staff, and district personnel face every day. I have also advised UNESCO and the ministries of education on policy.

I look forward to working together to create a positive future for Newington – a strong school system, a better quality of life for our town, and responsible financial management for all residents.
