I am honored to serve as a member of the Newington Board of Education. As a board member and chair of the finance and facilities committees, I have always collaborated with members of both parties and done what is in the best interests of our students, ensuring that every tax dollar is invested wisely to enable them to compete successfully in today's competitive global economy.

I have held our school district administration accountable and ensured they are accessible to all town residents should there be a concern. If town residents trust me to serve another term, I plan on ensuring our students and staff are well supported, expanding access to our district's high-quality and affordable pre-K program, and supporting an inclusive curriculum that reflects and respects diversity.

I love Newington, have been a resident for over two decades, both of my kids are proud graduates of our school system, and I am married to a fellow educator, an upper school science teacher. I hold a bachelor's degree in business management from UCONN, School of Business, and a graduate degree in Education Policy from Harvard University. Currently I am Area Chair in Connecticut for Harvard College, Office of Admissions and Financial aid. In addition, I have worked as a substitute teacher in school districts in the Hartford region and know firsthand the many challenges our educators, support, and district staff face every day. I have also advised UNESCO and the ministries of education on policy.

I look forward to working together to ensure a positive future for Newington – a strong school system, an improved quality of life for our town, and responsible financial management for all of our residents.
