I would be honored to serve on the Newington Town Council and to advocate for the interests and needs of our town and its residents.
I’ve called Newington home for the past 24 years, along with my husband, our adult children, and our beloved grandson Isaiah, who grew up here and graduated from Newington High School. I earned my B.A. in Sociology, with a concentration in Public Administration, from Central Connecticut State University. After graduation, I spent my career with the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Adult Probation Services. Since retiring, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting children at risk of foster care placement and to advocating for survivors of sexual assault, ensuring they have safe housing and access to services.
Throughout the years, much of my time has been devoted to public service—championing affordable housing, strengthening our schools, and expanding mental-health resources for youth, women, and those who are displaced or disadvantaged. I’ve served on multiple town and state committees, and currently sit on the Connecticut CWSEO Commission as both an advisory board member and chair of one of its four subcommittees. My commitment has always been to back community efforts that truly improve people’s lives.
If elected to the Newington Town Council, I will work tirelessly—and with deep gratitude—to advance the well-being of our town and all who call it home.
